Heart-Wrenching Clip Shows Worker Pleading for Help Under Earthquake Rubble in Bangkok

On March 28, a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar and sent shockwaves across Southeast Asia, with Bangkok experiencing heavy consequences.
Among the most devastating incidents was the collapse of a building under construction in the Chatuchak district a tragedy that is now going viral after a heart-wrenching short clip surfaced online.

The video in question shows the desperate scene of a trapped construction worker, his head barely visible above a pile of rubble, crying out in pain and pleading for help. His visible injuries and haunting cries have left social media users shaken, prompting urgent calls for more rescue support and faster disaster response.
According to initial reports, the partially built structure near Chatuchak Park crumbled as the earthquake hit. At the time, approximately 50 workers were on site. 7 managed to escape the wreckage, but the remaining 43 are believed to still be trapped beneath the ruins.
Images from the scene show twisted steel, broken concrete, and the frantic efforts of emergency personnel working against the clock.

Thailand’s Emergency Medical Technician Center (Narendra) has dispatched multiple teams to the scene. Rescue units are using thermal imaging and sound detection equipment in an effort to find survivors. Cranes, excavators, and rescue dogs are being used to navigate the wreckage. As of this report, there is no confirmed death toll, and the condition of those trapped remains unclear.
Sukanya Yawinchan, Director General of the Thai Meteorological Department, stated, “This earthquake has impacted the structural integrity of several high-rise buildings, especially those under construction or lacking adequate seismic protection. We advise the public to remain alert, as aftershocks are expected and could be severe.”
Residents have also been advised to avoid unstable structures and follow official instructions for safety.
